Is the accordion a difficult instrument to learn?

Yes, it is. Due to the fact that the instrument is very, very heavy, and requires so much coordination and precision, it takes very long to master the instrument. There are 50+ ons on a real accordion, and the keys on the right hand side a like a piano. You will also need to learn how to read 2 clefs at the same time. Not to mention, practicing is a pain in the rear. After 30+ minutes, your arms feel like rocks.
