How do I go about installing a Sims 2 crack for Mac OS X?

Ok so I downloaded a Sims 2 torrent so I don't have to play the game with the actual disk. I have a sims2.dmg file and a stuffit archive for the cracked file. I don't know what order to install them because when I do I get the "insert original disk" message. Isn't the point of the cracked file to play without the disk? I'm confused.
